Strategic Global Advisors: SGA is a woman and employee-owned asset management firm with a highly differentiated investment strategy. The firm’s focus on global equity investing employs a methodology that seamlessly integrates both quantitative and fundamental company analysis into one disciplined investment program. With above-market performance and an increase in clients, SGA needed to expand its team while maintaining its reputation for excellence. In addition, the firm’s growth required development of a human capital strategy that included leadership coaching and talent development.
Over a 3-year period, The Lawrence Advisory led recruiting efforts for SGA that increased the size of the team from 12 to over 30 employees. This search work included placement of such roles as President, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, Global Equity Trader, Quantitative Developer, and Senior Technology Manager. During this time, we also developed and implemented a performance management system, designed and facilitated leadership training programs, and coached members of the senior management team.
